Miami Gardens is the largest predominantly African-American city in Florida. Most calls we get here are from families in single-family homes — Carol City, Norland, Honey Hill, Bunche Park, Andover. The houses are mostly 1960s to 1980s ranch and split-levels, with hardware that's seen a long Florida lifetime. Worn deadbolts that don't quite throw all the way.
